The Toms River community is mourning the loss of Kyle Thomas Gray, 24, who passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Born and raised in Toms River, Kyle is remembered as a vibrant, kind‑hearted young man whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

A Life Remembered

Kyle was known for his strong spirit, authenticity, and the effortless way he made others feel valued and welcomed. A dedicated lifeguard, he embodied courage and responsibility, spending countless days at the beach he loved most. His laughter, warmth, and ability to form deep, lasting friendships will remain cherished memories for his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, MaryBeth and Robert Gray; siblings Katelyn Volk (Brandon), Ryan (Tessa), and his twin brother Michael (Vanessa); nephews Grayson and Landon; and grandparents Robert and Jeanne Gray, and Richard Ward. He was predeceased by his grandmother Kathryn Ward, aunt Susan Flanigan, and close friend Shamus.
