A classic Jersey Shore spring tradition

The Easter Parade is part of a larger slate of Easter events at Jenkinson’s that signal the unofficial start of spring at the Jersey Shore. Families can make a full day of it with:

  • Boardwalk rides and games reopening for the season
  • Jenkinson’s Aquarium, open year-round for penguins, sharks, and touch tanks
  • Easter weekend deals on ride tickets during Jenkinson’s spring sales

With its classic boardwalk charm, ocean views, and family-friendly atmosphere, Point Pleasant Beach offers a more relaxed Easter experience than some of the larger shore destinations—perfect for younger kids and multigenerational families.

What to wear and bring

  • Easter best: Pastel dresses, bow ties, suspenders, and spring suits are all welcome.
  • Creative bonnets: Think flowers, bunnies, eggs, and spring themes.
  • Floats and wagons: Decorate strollers, wagons, or small floats with Easter décor.
  • Weather-ready layers: Early April at the shore can be breezy—bring a light jacket just in case.

How to join the parade

  1. Arrive early: Plan to get to the boardwalk by 11:30 a.m. to find parking and register.
  2. Register in front of Joey Tomato’s: Sign up between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for your category.
  3. Line up for the 1:00 p.m. start: Follow staff and volunteers for staging and parade route instructions.
  4. Smile for the cameras: Local media, photographers, and families will be capturing the colorful spring scenes along the boards.
