New Jersey Weather Forecast: Warm Temperatures Before Weekend Rain

Temperatures will rise in the middle of the week after multiple record lows were reported in New Jersey on Tuesday morning.

However, according to the National Weather Service, the state is in for a chilly and wet weekend, so it won't last.

Late tonight and early on Wednesday morning, there may be sporadic showers, especially in regions north and west of the I-95 corridor.

Thursday is expected to be the warmest day of the week, with highs in the low to mid-70s, while Wednesday's highs will be in the upper 50s to upper 60s.

Friday is expected to be cooler, with highs returning to the low to mid-60s and a remote possibility of a few afternoon showers.

As a storm system moves out of the Great Lakes region toward New Jersey on Saturday, the weekend is expected to be cold and rainy.

There will probably be showers all day on Saturday, with a half-inch of rain predicted.

With highs only in the 40s to roughly 50 degrees, Saturday's temperatures will be well below average.
With highs still in the 50s, there may be some persistent rain into Sunday.

By Monday, the weather is predicted to dry out and warm up, with daytime highs returning to the 60s. Keep up-to-date with the latest weather forecast.
