Ocean County Burglary: NJ Resident Arrested

A man from Burlington County has been taken into custody for breaking into a Country Farms convenience store in Manchester and damaging its windows.

Medford resident Keith T. Mulligan, 36, was taken into custody on Wednesday, according to Manchester Lt. Chris Cerullo.

According to the police, the stolen goods were not natural leaf kratom but rather concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) products from Opia Kratom.

Mulligan was swiftly identified as the suspect by detectives Victoria Guarino and Adam Guker, who discovered on Wednesday that Mulligan's car had been spotted in Evesham Township on Tuesday, according to Cerullo.

During their investigation, Manchester police released surveillance footage of a man smashing the window at the Whiting business on May 9 with a big stone. According to authorities, the man, who had multiple tattoos on his arm, rushed behind the counter and took various things from the shelf before sprinting back to the window and getting out.
According to Cerullo, Guarino and Guker discovered Mulligan sleeping in his car at the Barclay Towers condominium complex in Cherry Hill after learning that he spent a lot of time there.

Mulligan is being detained at the Ocean County Jail in Toms River for a detention hearing after being charged with burglary, criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking, and stealing.

Residents are reminded that they may report suspicious activity to the Manchester Police anonymously at 732-657-6111
