Tragic Accident Claims Life of Brick Memorial Student
According to officials, an accident on Lanes Mill Road on Tuesday morning claimed the life of a Brick Memorial student.
"This morning there was an accident that resulted in a tragedy for Brick Schools," the Brick Township School District said in a statement announcing the death. Our condolences and thoughts are with the student's family.We must help one another through this trying time because this is a very sad and tragic incident for our community," the message stated.
According to the district, all employees and students are eligible for grief counseling and support services.
Nixle alerts from Brick Township police stated, the incident occurred around 7 a.m. close to Brick Memorial High School, and Lanes Mill Road was closed in the vicinity until further notice.
Law enforcement has not disclosed any information about the collision.
Parents of other Brick Memorial students reported that their kids, who knew the student, were upset and left school right away.
