Jessica N. Mulvihill Obituary Our beautiful girl, Jessica Nicole (Fortuna) Mulvihill went to rest in the arms of the Lord on May 20, 2026. She was surrounded by her husband and family as she was given the peace she so deserved.

Our beautiful girl, Jessica Nicole (Fortuna) Mulvihill went to rest in the arms of the Lord on May 20, 2026. She was surrounded by her husband and family as she was given the peace she so deserved.

Jess was born in Heilbronn, Germany on March, 31, 1985 – and no, she is not German no matter what she said! Jess lived in Virginia and West Virginia prior to moving to Toms River, NJ in 1993, where she grew up most of her life.

Jess eventually moved to North Jersey for a change of pace and worked as an office manager for Del Vecchio Metabolic Institute.

Prior to that, she worked at many restaurants and bars both down the shore and up north. She would bartend her last job “in the business” at Valley Brook Bar in Wayne, NJ where she would meet the absolute love of her life and soulmate, Daniel (DJ) Mulvihill. There will never be a love like the two of them shared. The way they looked at each other was just a glimpse into their fairytale love.

They married on December 15, 2018 surrounded by those they loved. In early 2020, Jess and DJ bought their first house in Pompton Lakes where Jess put her love into every perfect little detail to make it feel like home. They welcomed their son, Ryder, on Christmas Day, 2020, completing her heart. She lived her best life with DJ and Ryder.

Jess will always be remembered as the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend to all who were blessed with being loved by her.

Jess was reunited with her adoring grandparents, Lawrence and Bertha Bisset and Robert and Carol Lightbody and her dog, Chubbs.

Jessica leaves behind to love her until eternity her husband and best friend, DJ and their precious son, Ryder; her beloved parents, James & Lisa Fortuna; sister Amy and fiancé Scott Rochester; brother, Daniel and nephew and niece, Royce and Reyla.

She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, her amazing in-laws; father-in-law Steve & his wife, Sue Mulvihill, mother-in- law Ellen and her husband, Steve O’Shea, brother and sister-in-laws Kevin and Melanie, Nick & Annie, Anthony and Meagan, sister-in-law Alicia Mulvihill, nieces and nephew Phoebe, Leni and Anthony, the best of friends and all those in between to cherish their memories of and with her.

Due to the incredible amount of people that love Jess and her family and the lives she touched both down the shore and up north – two celebrations will be held to accommodate everyone. Please feel free to attend both if you are able.
