Lori Lawlor Obituary

Lori Christine Candito Lawlor, 53, of Brick, New Jersey, passed away at home on June 1, 2026. Born on July 24, 1972, in Red Bank, New Jersey, Lori lived a life centered on love, creativity, and caring for others.

She was the beloved daughter of William J. Candito (predeceased) and Jane F. Candito. Lori grew up in Brick, New Jersey and graduated from Monsignor Donovan High School in Toms River. She later studied at The Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts, where she nurtured her lifelong passion for photography. She eventually moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, a place she cherished for its beaches and beauty.

Lori was a devoted mother who lived her life for her children. She is survived by her children Emily Lawlor, Lily Lawlor, and Bradford Lawlor, and her cherished grandson Hudson. She was a wonderful mother and was especially great with kids — always patient, kind, and fun. Lori’s greatest joy came from making her family happy. She was also a creative soul who loved photography, gardening and plants, cooking, playing games, and spending time at the beach. Lori had a generous heart and was always thinking of others. She brightened days with a kind word or a small thoughtful gift. Lori co-owned Hattie’s Farm Market in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, where her warm spirit touched many in the community.

In addition to her children and grandson, Lori is survived by her loving Mother Jane Candito, sisters Debora LeRiche and Kimberly Brandshagen, brother-in-law Michael Brandshagen, nieces Amy LeRiche and Mary

LeRiche, her nephews James LeRiche, Robert Brandshagen, Michael Brandshagen, and Joseph Brandshagen and her great niece Alexis LeRiche and great nephew William LeRiche.

She was predeceased by her father William J. Candito, her nephew William LeRiche, and her brother-in-law James LeRiche. Lori will be remembered for her loving heart, her beautiful eye for life that she captured through her photography, and the way she made everyone around her feel cared for. Her family takes comfort knowing the love she gave will live on through her family.
