
Child Shot, Two Injured After Vehicle Strikes Crowd During Graduation Party in Rosenhayn, NJ
DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A graduation party in the Rosenhayn section of Deerfield Township turned chaotic late Sunday night after an altercation escalated into violence, leaving a child shot and two people injured when a vehicle struck them, according to New Jersey State Police.
Troopers responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m. after reports of a disturbance involving several attendees. During the confrontation, gunfire erupted, striking a young child. Moments later, a vehicle accelerated into the crowd, hitting two additional victims before fleeing the area.
Authorities say all three victims were transported to nearby hospitals. The child who was shot is expected to survive, and the conditions of the two struck by the vehicle have not yet been released.
The graduation celebration, held outdoors, quickly descended into panic as partygoers scrambled for safety.
