TOMS RIVER, N.J. — A 56-year-old Toms River man died after suffering a medical emergency while surfing with his son, according to a fundraiser launched to support his family.
Kevin F. Kennedy was surfing with his son, Jack, when he experienced the medical emergency, according to a
GoFundMe campaign created following his death.
Kennedy died as a result of the incident. Additional details about the medical emergency, including when and where it occurred, have not been released.
The GoFundMe campaign describes Kennedy as a devoted husband, father, family member, and friend whose sudden passing has left his loved ones grieving.
"Kevin's unexpected loss has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him," the fundraiser states, adding that the campaign was established to help the family with expenses during this difficult time.
