South Jersey Man Found Shot Dead in Car After Alleged Fight With Girlfriend

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 33-year-old man was fatally shot while sitting in a parked vehicle Wednesday afternoon following an altercation with his girlfriend, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities charged Amelia G. Wilmore-Nozil, 38, of Glassboro, with second-degree manslaughter and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with the shooting.

Police said Winslow Township officers were called to the unit block of Bromley Court at approximately 2 p.m. after receiving reports of a person who had been shot.

Authorities located Domincio Fuhrtz of Winslow Township inside the vehicle and transported him to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.

Fuhrtz was pronounced dead at approximately 3 p.m., officials said.

Wilmore-Nozil told investigators that the firearm discharged while she and Fuhrtz were struggling over it inside the vehicle during the altercation.
