JACKSON, NJ — According to authorities, an Academy Transit Bus struck a Jackson Township residence on Wednesday, rendering it uninhabitable.

According to Jackson Lt. Edward A. Travisano, there were no injuries inside the house.

He claimed that there were no passengers on the bus and that the driver was just slightly hurt.

At around 4:30 a.m., the bus was traveling north on Whitesville Road when the collision occurred, according to the police.

East Veterans Highway and Whitesville Road meet at a T-intersection. The residence is located right across from Whitesville Road at 853 East Veterans Highway.

The bus continued straight ahead and entered the house rather than making a left or right turn onto East Veterans Highway.

The cause is still being investigated. According to Travisano, the foundation damage rendered the house unusable.
