Police said the woman, who was from Toms River, died at the scene of the crash.
MANCHESTER, NJ — A Toms River woman was killed Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision on Route 70 in Manchester, according to
police.
Authorities identified the victim as 53-year-old Tammy Huth, who was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 5:15 p.m. near mile marker 43 on Route 70, Manchester Capt. Albert Vega said.
Police said Huth was traveling eastbound in a gray 2019 Honda Civic when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound white 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD driven by 32-year-old Colin Michaelis of Lindenwold.
Both vehicles ultimately stopped in the westbound lanes of Route 70 following the collision, according to Vega.
Police said both motorists were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and the airbags in both vehicles were activated upon impact.
