SEASIDE PARK — One of Ocean County’s most anticipated late‑summer traditions is back as the Beach Plum Festival returns to Island Beach State Park on Sunday, September 13, 2026, running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Hosted by The Friends of Island Beach State Park, the annual celebration draws thousands for a full day of food, music, crafts, and coastal community fun.

The festival centers around the iconic beach plum, a native fruit found throughout the park’s dunes. Visitors can enjoy beach plum jelly and ice cream, along with a wide variety of food vendors, live music, crafters, and children’s games. Held at Ocean Beach Bathing Area 1 (2401 Central Avenue), the festival is designed to be accessible and family-friendly. While park entry is free for the day, organizers request a $10 donation per vehicle to support the Friends’ ongoing conservation and educational efforts.
