Ocean County Party Store Closing After Losing Its Lease

— A longtime party store in Toms River has begun clearing out its inventory after losing its lease, but the business says this may not be the end of the road.

Party Fair, located in the Crossroads Center shopping plaza near the intersection of Route 37 and Route 166, announced Monday that it has launched a major liquidation sale.

In a post on Facebook, the store told customers that it had lost its lease and was offering significant discounts as it works to sell off its current inventory.

The business has not disclosed why its lease is ending. However, the owners said they are searching for another location and hope to eventually reopen elsewhere.

Party Fair said the new location has not yet been determined. Customers will be notified through the store’s social media accounts and email list once a new site has been finalized.

For now, shoppers looking to stock up on party supplies can take advantage of the ongoing liquidation sale at the Toms River location.

The store is well known for its large selection of party decorations, supplies and Halloween costumes.

According to the store’s announcement, nearly all of its merchandise is included in the liquidation sale, with the exception of Mylar balloons.

Customers can find discounts of up to 60 percent on select items, the post stated.

Party Fair has not yet announced a date for when the Toms River location will officially close.

The Toms River business is one of three Party Fair locations operated by the same family. The family also owns stores in Middletown and the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township in Monmouth County.
