Officials said Tuesday that firefighters rapidly put out a fire at a residence off Fischer Boulevard Monday evening, limiting the damage.
Residents and firemen were not injured in the incident on Senaroth Court, which was reported at 7:32 p.m., officials said.
Officials claimed they received many reports reporting that individuals were trapped in the house, but Capt. Daniel Goresh of the East Dover Fire Company and Toms River police were able to confirm that everyone was safe and out.
East Dover firemen swiftly extinguished the fire in the garage and laundry area. Chief Joe Catapano and District Chief Everett Seaman arrived on scene to assist with operations as personnel were working. Island Heights firemen were also dispatched to the scene.
The fire was restricted to the garage and laundry room thanks to firefighters' prompt reaction, and there was no fire extension into the main house.
