Help Support Theo (Uncle) Nick and His Family Through This Challenging Time

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

On behalf of all the nieces and nephews, with permission from the family, we are reaching out to you today to ask for your support for our dear Theo Nick, his wife, Thea Dee, and their two children, Athena and Niko, as they face an incredibly challenging chapter in their lives.

For over two decades, Theo Nick has been battling heart problems with strength and resilience. Despite his ongoing struggle, he has always worked tirelessly to provide for his family, maintaining a positive outlook even during the toughest times. Unfortunately, Theo Nick has recently reached the end stages of heart failure, and he was rushed to the hospital where he is now hooked up to multiple machines to keep him alive.

Theo Nick has been transferred to a Heart Transplant Hospital, where he is undergoing evaluation for a potential heart transplant. However, this hospital is far from home, which has added an emotional and financial burden on the family. His devoted wife, Dee, has been staying by his side, refusing to leave him alone, and has been sleeping in the family lobby to remain close.

As you can imagine, this entire situation is incredibly stressful—emotionally, physically, and financially. With Theo Nick out of work and Thea Dee missing work to remain by his side, they are facing an overwhelming amount of hardship financially.

Theo Nick’s story is one of resilience and hope. Even when he first faced heart failure a few years ago, he continued to work and support his family. He’s always fought hard to survive, with a spirit that never gives up. We often joke that he’s like a cat, with how many lives he seems to have, and we are praying that he has a few more left to live, as there is so much life yet to experience and so many milestones to witness—especially those of his children.

This is where we need your help. The medical bills, the cost of travel, and the family’s living expenses are quickly adding up, and we are humbly asking for your support to help ease the burden on the Sekera Family. Your donations will help with medical expenses, travel, accommodations, and other unexpected costs during this critical time.

We know that Theo Nick has always been there for others, and now it’s our turn to be there for him.
