Hi, my name is Kelly and my sister Stefanie and Kyle’s daughter , my amazing beautiful niece , K’Lynn was admitted to the hospital November 5th. This all started with what we thought was the flu. Soon after she was running a fever of 103+ and we were told it was now encephalitis that was cause severe swelling to her brain. She went from our funny sweet active little princess - to not speaking , walking , talking , or being conscious in a matter of hours.

Her motor skills are completely gone and she’s unconscious. She’s gone through 3 spinal taps , initially saying she has spinal meningitis , but now that diagnosis has gone away and after going through 3 MRIs she had a reaction to the contrast medicine which caused her to stop breathing ,needing a breathing tube. Thank goodness the breathing tube is now gone and she is breathing on her own.

However she does still need a feeding tube . We are completely heartbroken , numb , confused and worried. We are praying so hard for our girl to come back. She’s been given so many different medications , one anti-seizure medicine that gave her an awful reaction. She’s not even squeezing our hands anymore. We’re being told they don’t have any clue what’s happening now and she will need to be transferred to an inpatient care facility. We have no clue what brain activity is left or what state she will be in after this tragedy. Our time here has been such a roller coaster - we felt better when she would open her eyes and look at us , agknowledging we are there with her , or squeezing our hand and letting us know she’s with us , but it just keeps getting worse and we feel as if our baby girl is drifting from us.

Please consider helping our family , she hasn’t been able to work since this all started, Kyle and Stefanie also have other children and the bills are piling up. They are both not ones to ask for help but I felt it in my heart to ask for financial relief during this difficult time so they can solely focus on this situation and do everything in their power to fight for their daughter. My sister Stefanie has not left her side once being at the hospital day and night with her and without Kyle being there as well wouldn’t be able to deal with this alone.

With Stefanie staying at the hospital with their baby girl, Kyle is also doing everything he can by working, providing for the kids at home, and being with their princess every chance he can ! I can only imagine the stress and heartache they must feel inside so I wanted to make this to gather shares, as many prayers-and if possible any donations .
