According to the National Weather Service, a powerful storm system will impact the region today into tonight. Periods of moderate to heavy rain today and thunder possible through this afternoon. High winds developing this afternoon and evening, persisting through Monday. Temperatures turning very mild by this afternoon, then plunging tonight with wind chills in the teens.
Remain alert for downed trees and power lines, and be prepared for power outages this afternoon into tonight. A High Wind Warning remains in effect for the entire area through Monday.
