Significant Storm Coming to NJ
Just in time for Thanksgiving travel, a "significant storm" with torrential rain, blustery winds, and coastal flooding is predicted to make landfall in New Jersey.
"We expect Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning to bring us our first good, soaking rain in weeks,"
US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly forecasters said.
Up to 35 mph wind gusts are predicted from the storm, with isolated gusts as high as 45 mph along the shore. It might flood some coastal areas.
According to
AccuWeather meteorologists, the storm's worst travel effects will be felt in the Northeast from Tuesday through Tuesday night, with some weather-related travel disruptions continuing into Wednesday.
According to AccuWeather, gusts, torrential rain, and poor visibility are the main causes of airline delays during that time.
People who are leaving for the airport should confirm the status of their flights because there may be delays or cancellations.
