Authorities Seek Public Assistance in Locating Missing Boy in South Jersey

The public is being asked to assist local police and a concerned mother in locating a 17-year-old boy from Burlington Township who hasn't been seen since Friday noon.

Derek Ochoa-Vargas spent Friday morning at school. However, Neni Vargas, the boy's mother, informed NJ Advance Media that he hasn't been seen or contacted since Burlington Township High School's classes ended at 11:30 a.m.
Ochoa-Vargas, who is 180 pounds and 5'5" tall, wore khaki slacks, black sneakers, and a black Puma hoodie with gold lettering to school. According to his mother, he also carried green shorts and a green shirt in his book bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Burlington Township Police Department at 609-386-2019.
