Authorities Seek Shooter in Toms River
Avoid the area of Ravenwood Drive in Toms River due to police activity. Do not approach this area.
Toms River police reported that an effort by U.S. Marshals to make an arrest resulted in a shooting on Friday afternoon and a caution to the public to avoid the area.
According to Mitch Little, the Chief-of-Police in Toms River, there are currently no known injuries.
Authorities advised people to avoid the area around
Ravenwood Drive.Little stated that no more information was currently available, but the police department was helping U.S. Marshals with an arrest.
An notice was released by the
Ocean County Sheriff's Office asking residents to avoid the area.
