According to Manchester Police Department, they want to alert their residents and surrounding towns to a recent scam circulating throughout Ocean County.
Fraudulent text messages are being sent out, falsely claiming to be from the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC).
These messages are a SCAM!
The NJMVC does NOT send text messages regarding violations or fines.
