Blaze Engulfs Storage Trailer
at Toms River High School East
According to officials on Monday, a storage trailer on the grounds of Toms River High School East was damaged by fire over the weekend.
According to Michael Citta, superintendent of Toms River Regional Schools, the fire occurred in a trailer that was used to store supplies for the Toms River Warriors, the local American Youth Football team.
Citta stated that officials had looked into the fire, but he was unaware of the investigation's conclusion.
According to him, the trailer was destroyed and removed from the property on Monday.
The
Toms River Warriors' president, Anthony Foti, acknowledged that the trailer had included youth football program supplies, but that they had been unusable for a while prior to the fire.
According to Foti, "nothing that was in there was useable," and the program had given the trailer to the school district so that the grounds crew could use it.
"We currently use a mobile trailer," Foti stated.
As of Monday at midday, Toms River police and fire officials had not disclosed the cause of the incident.
