Boat Runs Aground in Jersey Shore Inlet, Four Injured

The U.S. Coast Guard reported that their boat ran aground at Shark River Inlet on Thursday, injuring four persons.

The incident was reported to the Coast Guard at approximately 8 a.m. Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet responded with its 29-foot response boat small crew on Thursday, according to a Coast Guard spokesman.

After being removed from the grounded boat, the four were transferred to the Jersey land University Medical Center in Neptune for assessment and treatment by emergency medical services personnel who were waiting on land, she said.
The representative had no other information about the four, but they were adults.

Where the 28-foot boat ran aground in the inlet was not specified in the reaction crew's report. According to the Coast Guard, a commercial towing business towed it to the Shark River Hills Municipal Marina.
