According to Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, authorities in Wildwood Crest said they found a man's body on a beach Tuesday morning, and they are still conducting an investigation.

According to a news release, police were summoned to the beach at Myrtle Road at 6:20 a.m. on July 2 regarding a report of an unconscious and unresponsive man.

The person who had called 911 was giving the man CPR when the police arrived. However, the life-sustaining procedures were discontinued, and the authorities declared him dead at the site.

The man's identity is still unknown, but according to the police, his next of kin has been informed.

An autopsy is planned, and the reason of death is being looked at. The New Jersey Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office and the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office are providing support for the inquiry.

Nonetheless, authorities stated that there is no suspicion of foul play and no public threat.
