Body Recovered at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park
A body was found at the shoreline of Barnegat Lighthouse State Park on Thursday afternoon, and authorities are investigating.
At approximately 1:50 p.m. on August 15, the corpse was found off the western beach of the park's High Bar Harbor section, according to the Department of Environmental Protection.
The Ocean County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the body and determine the cause of death, officials said.

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park is located at the northern tip of Long Beach Island. The popular site is home to the Barnegat Lighthouse, which was first lit in 1859.
