Renovated Senior Center Ready for Central Location Opening
Residents in Brick Township will soon have a new location to meet for the activities they enjoy participating in at the township's Senior Center.
On Thursday, October 19, at 1:30 PM, the center at 500 Aurora Place will hold its grand opening. Residents will be welcomed to the new, more centrally placed space with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Senior services employees have previously worked out of Civic Plaza and the
Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8867 on Adamston Road, but they will also be moving to the new center.
The structure, which once housed the Brick Township First Aid, required $1 million in rehabilitation costs, $400,000 of which came from a government grant.
Brick Township Emergency Medical Services are also located on the property.
