Car Crashes into Popular Ice Cream Spot in Toms River

On February 9th, Mrs Walkers Ice Cream Parlor in Toms River was unfortunately hit by an suv and the building has sustained terrible damage and was forced to close its doors temporarily. However, they are approved to serve Door Dash with no customers in the store starting Sunday, Feb. 16 from 3 pm to 9 pm.

According to a GoFundMe, Danielle Woods, the daughter of Rich Madeo who is the owner of Mrs Walkers Ice Cream Parlor stated that on February 9th, her family business was unfortunately hit by an suv.

While they are beyond lucky and relieved everyone involved was unharmed the building, a Toms River staple of nearly 40 years has suffered extensive structural damage.

With that being said, the Fischer Blvd. location will be closed until further notice while they work on rebuilding not only the foundation of the building, but also replacing some of their equipment.

She claims that everyone who has ever had the pleasure of interacting with her dad knows that he is the most selfless, kind man who pours his heart and soul into his store. Behind the scenes he’s always going above and beyond making everyone’s favorite ice cream cakes and homemade flavors, and making sure Mrs. Walkers continues to be a pillar of the East Dover community.
