Honoring the Life and Service of K9 Creed

Honoring the Life and Service of K9 Creed

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of K9 Creed, who died yesterday.

A dedicated member of the New Jersey State Police family, Creed, a 12-year-old German Shepherd, graduated from Cadaver Scent and Patrol School in 2014 alongside his devoted handler, Sergeant Matthew Cocking.

Throughout his remarkable career, K9 Creed served with distinction in K9 South, where his expertise and enduring loyalty were instrumental in numerous missions.

Recently, he was assigned to the State Police K9 Academy with his handler, where his legacy continued to inspire the next generation of K9 handlers.

K9 Creed’s contributions to public safety and his bond with his handler were unparalleled.

He will forever be remembered as a loyal partner, a dedicated public servant, and a cherished member of our law enforcement family.

Rest easy, Creed. You will be missed.
