Charges Filed Against Woman After Tragic Death of 5 Year-Old Girl in NJ

According to authorities, a 36-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the Sunday night discovery of a five-year-old daughter dead near Robbinsville.

Raphaelle Register was taken into custody on Monday and is charged with four charges of second-degree endangering a child's welfare.
Robbinsville police were called to a township home on Sunday night regarding a five-year-old girl who was not responding. After being brought to Hamilton's Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the infant was declared dead shortly after, according to authorities.

The criminal complaint claims that Register was legally obligated to provide for the two five-year-olds, the eight-year-old, and the twelve-year-old, all of whom she neglected.

The five-year-olds were abused or neglected, according to the complaint, since she forgot to give them with proper food and nourishment and access to essential medical care.
On Monday afternoon, the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy. Officials stated that more tests and investigation are needed to determine the child's cause and manner of death.

A move to hold Register until trial has been submitted by the prosecutor's office.
