Cold Front Approaches: Significant Weather Changes in New Jersey
According to the most recent forecast, rain is expected Thursday night and beyond as a cold front sweeps into the area following a prolonged spell of dry weather.
Until the cold front sweeps in, Thursday will be a calm day. The
National Weather Service says the storms and showers will occur between 6 p.m. and midnight.
According to experts, some of the storms may feature locally heavy rain and severe to damaging wind gusts. Storms are most likely to occur west and along the I-95 corridor.
Forecasters from the National Weather Service predicted that Friday would be dry with warm, muggy temperatures.
On Saturday afternoon and evening, New Jersey is traversed by another cold front. Forecasters predict more rains and storms, but they are unsure exactly when or how strong they will be.
