On Friday, March 14th, the house that Sandra Puello, her husband, her five kids, and so many others called home for nearly 30 years was destroyed in a fire. The house and all five of the tenants' belongings were destroyed from water or fire damage.
It will be a very long journey ahead to restart their lives and rebuild all they've lost. Any monetary support with clothes, food, and other essentials they will need as they transition from temporary shelters to a more permanent location is greatly appreciated.
Our home was a space for celebrating so many milestones, from graduations to weddings. It also served as a safe haven for so many people Sandra and her husband saw needed shelter.
We've had over 15 temporary residents reside in our home at times when they needed it most. Ultimately, we are so grateful for our physical well-being, the memories we've had in the house, and the people we got to share it with.
Our family is also so thankful for the overwhelming amount of support we’ve had and are fortunate to have temporary shelter at a hotel nearby.
We are also so thankful to the Red Cross of America, the Toms River Fire Department, and the Police Department for all of their support.
