To support a family in Brick Township whose home was destroyed in a fire Tuesday that also claimed the life of the family's dog, neighbors and friends are collecting donations.

Brick Township Bureau of Fire Safety Chief Kevin Batzel stated that the cause of the incident at the residence on Chelsea Drive is still being investigated.
According to a GoFundMe, on the morning of March 25th, the Livio family faced every family’s worst nightmare—their home was completely destroyed by fire. Praise God, they were not home at the time, and we are incredibly grateful that they and their three children are physically safe. But they have lost everything, including their beloved dog, Luna.

The Livio family has been a light in our community for many years. They are the kind of people who show up without needing to be asked—whether it’s helping at school events, supporting their children’s activities, or just being good neighbors and friends.

They are humble, kind, and hard-working—people who live with integrity and lead by example. Their son, now 16, still lives at home, and their twin daughters just started college in 2024. As you can imagine, this loss has turned their world upside down.

Because they are a private family, they didn’t want photos of the house shared publicly, so instead we’ve chosen to honor the life of Luna, who sadly did not survive the fire. She was deeply loved, and her loss only adds to the heartbreak they’re experiencing.

The Livios would never ask for help, which is why I’m asking on their behalf. They need to rebuild not just a house, but a home—and every little bit helps. Please consider donating what you can, and keep this beautiful family in your prayers as they begin the long journey of healing and starting over.
