Dangerous Heat Conditions Persist in New Jersey Until Wednesday

According to the National Weather Service, the dangerous heat continues for most areas through Wednesday, then the weather pattern transitions into an unsettled one. This will also break the high heat and humidity.

With heat indices reaching 100 degrees on Wednesday, residents of New Jersey will have to put up with yet another oppressively hot day before the workweek comes to a close with several chances of thunderstorms and heavy rain.

The National Weather Service predicted Tuesday afternoon that Wednesday would be a rerun of today, with even higher temperatures and unbearable humidity for the region.
New Jersey is under a HEAT ADVISORY and an AIR QUALITY ALERT due to high temperatures and humidity. The signs of heat illness might be brought on by poor air quality.

We have one more day like this before a series of storms that bring severe weather to the state are followed by more comfortable air.

Today will feel like it is between 100 and 105°F. Keep an eye on the weather after 3 p.m. In just a few minutes, a line of thunderstorms with strong winds, hazardous lightning, and copious amounts of rain could form.
