According to Ocean County Prosecutors Office, authorities said two people died in a motor vehicle crash Thursday on East Veterans Highway in Jackson Township.

The collision took place near the intersection of Cleveland Court and East Veterans Highway (County Route 528/527) at approximately 5 p.m. on May 30.

Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer's office said there were "multiple fatalities," but did not provide further details. However, preliminary New Jersey State Police crash data listed two people as deceased, a driver and a passenger; it is unclear if they were in the same vehicle.
