Devastating Accident: Husband Dies, Wife Injured in Motorcycle Crash
According to Jackson Police Department, a flatbed tow truck and a motorcycle collided in Jackson on Thursday, killing a New Egypt man and injuring his wife.
Mr. Erin Doyle, 53, the motorcyclist, passed away at the scene of the collision on Thursday at approximately 3:15 p.m., according to Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz.
Doyle and his 47-year-old wife, whose name was not released, were riding a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Hawkin Road when they were hit by a 1997 Ford F-350 flatbed tow truck that was making a left turn into a driveway, Kunz said.
Doyle's wife was flown to a local trauma center for treatment of a serious leg injury, Kunz said.
The tow truck driver was not injured, he said.
