According to officials, a Pizza Hut with a drive-thru will open in Toms River this summer.
The Pizza Hut is one of two businesses that have signed on to the new retail location in Toms River's Silverton neighborhood, which is now under construction.
According to executives at R.J. Brunelli, a commercial real estate firm, Pizza Hut will occupy 1,800 square feet in one end of the 12,600-square-foot facility at 1882 Hooper Ave.
According to officials, the building's other end will hold an AT&T store with 3,726 square feet of space.
According to a Fortune story,
Pizza Hut said last year that it had introduced drive-thrus to over 1,500 locations, dubbed "the Hut Lane."
Officials have stated that the new service will not replace delivery or dine-in choices.
Customers can place orders for Hut Lane using the Pizza Hut app or website, or by calling the local location. Customers pull up to the designated window, take their order, and go.
March Construction is constructing the site.
The firm signed AT&T for a 3,726-square-foot endcap facility at 1882 Hooper Ave. in Toms River in Ocean County. R.J. Brunelli is the exclusive broker for March Construction's new 12,600-square-foot retail center in the municipality's Silverton district. Pizza Hut has taken the site's other endcap space, a 1,800-square-foot facility with a drive-thru, as previously revealed. Both tenants are scheduled to begin operations this summer.
"As development progresses on the building, we now have numerous possibilities interested in the remaining 7,100 square feet of inline space," said Mario Brunelli, VP & Principal of R.J. Brunelli, who represented the landlord on both the AT&T and Pizza Hut leases. AT&T's lease was handled by Jack Kahn Realty.
