On July 15, 2023, at approximately 1:30 pm, according to the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention the Toms River Fire Department dispatched to a structure fire at The Fairways of Bey Lea, Building 30 Inverness Drive in Toms River.

All Toms River Fire Companies and numerous aid agencies quickly responded and worked for approximately 5 hours to contain the fire, reaching a 3 alarm level.
