Exciting News: Hobby Lobby Arriving in Ocean County

The former Christmas Tree Shops location in Brick Township has been leased to Hobby Lobby, and is expected to be occupied in the upcoming months.

Christmas Tree Shops closed in August 2023, leaving the Market Place At Brick location on Route 70 deserted.

For a portion of 2024, Spirit Halloween used the location to sell its Halloween merchandise before moving on to become one of the few Spirit Christmas stores while the company tested out the Christmas motif.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Hobby Lobby and Edgewood Properties signed a lease.

The 50,000-square-foot space that was formerly occupied by Christmas Tree Shops is now occupied by Hobby Lobby, according to the Edgewood Properties leasing plan dated February 7.

When Hobby Lobby will open for business is unknown.

The store in Brick Township would be the 18th in New Jersey and the first in Ocean County. Howell, Holmdel, and Neptune are the three locations in Monmouth County.
