Exciting News: Popular Sushi Spot in Toms River Expands to Monmouth County

Xina Opens Second Location

Xina, a well-regarded restaurant in Toms River celebrated for its innovative sushi and Chinese dishes, is set to launch a second establishment.

The new venue is currently being developed at 415 Main St. in Bradley Beach, within the premises of a former 7-Eleven, as stated by Rick Lee, who, along with his family, has been the proprietor of Xina since 2012.

The anticipated opening is scheduled for early 2025.

Similar to the original location, the new restaurant will feature a BYOB concept, offering a sushi and oyster bar alongside a Chinese bistro.
Lee stated that the menu will feature many beloved items that fans have come to enjoy. "We appreciate those dishes as well," he remarked. "However, we aim to introduce a variety of new offerings, particularly with the specials we consistently provide. This is an opportunity for us to revamp the menu."

Xina offers a variety of dishes, including steamed Peking duck buns, red curry mussels, bulgogi kimchi fried rice, and miso salmon accompanied by black coconut sticky rice.

The specials menu includes unique items such as sushi latkes, which consist of fried potato patties garnished with salmon, wasabi cream cheese, and salmon roe; a Buffalo salmon roll, a fried sushi roll filled with spicy salmon and avocado, drizzled with Buffalo sauce, blue cheese, and celery; and bao buns filled with mortadella, burrata, pesto, honey, and pistachio.

Since its inception in 2012, Xina has become an integral part of the community, renowned for its vibrant Asian-inspired dishes and welcoming atmosphere, as stated in a press release from the restaurant.

The newly established location in Bradley Beach signifies a chance to introduce an exhilarating fusion of tradition and contemporary elements, featuring innovative menu offerings and a meticulously crafted environment, all while remaining faithful to the foundational principles and customs that characterize Xina.
In evaluating a second location, Lee explored options ranging from Long Beach Island to Point Pleasant Beach and Asbury Park before ultimately selecting Bradley Beach. He noted that the decision to construct within a former convenience store provides them with a "clean slate."

"There are numerous initiatives we wish to pursue here that are not feasible in our existing space," Lee remarked. "We intend to enjoy the process."
