An SUV in Jackson drove off the road, struck a tree, and caught fire early on Sunday, killing two persons, according to the Jackson Police Department. According to Jackson Lt. Edward Travisano, as of Monday morning, the victims' identities were still unknown.

The collision occurred on Hyson Road just after midnight on Sunday. According to Travisano, authorities quickly found out about the collision after first receiving reports of a transformer going down.
