According to prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, the collision on Route 539, also known as Pinehurst Road in Plumsted, was reported at approximately 11:50 p.m.
According to the prosecutor's office, investigators found that a Ford Bronco was traveling north on Route 539 when it jumped the double yellow line and struck a Toyota Sienna head-on.

According to the prosecutor's office, the Toyota's driver and two occupants perished at the site.

The Bronco driver was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he is classified as stable.
