Father & Son Found Safe
According to the Toms River Police Department, they were called to 5th Avenue on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 7:37 p.m., to report a missing adult male and his young son. They'd been absent for more than eight hours, with no means of contact or transportation.
The father and son were found safe in the region of Cattus Island after a multi-agency search involving Toms River Police Patrol and Detective Units, Toms River Fire Companies, and the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit.
Thank you to the Toms River Office of Emergency Management and Toms River CSOs for coming to the search area in case medical assistance or long-term services were required. The event is being investigated, and no charges have been filed.
