Fast-Moving Fire Displaces Family in Cedar Glen Lakes Residence
A rapidly spreading fire broke out in the garage of a home in Cedar Glen Lakes on Friday evening, displacing the family but causing no injuries, according to authorities.
Manchester Township police responded to a structure fire report at 1 California Drive around 5:54 p.m. on February 20. Upon arrival, officers found the garage fully engulfed in flames, with a vehicle in the driveway also burning.
The officers confirmed the home was empty at the time, and the three residents were safe.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. An investigation is currently underway by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Manchester Township Police Department’s Investigations Bureau.
