Four Brothers from NJ In Fatal Car Crash: Two Were Killed

Four brothers were in a vehicle that veered off an I-95 overpass in the Port Richmond area of Philadelphia, leading to an accident that claimed the lives of two of them.

According to law enforcement, a Mazda carrying the four brothers unexpectedly left I-95 and fell onto Castor Avenue beneath the interstate at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday.Two brothers from New Jersey lost their lives, while two other brothers are in critical condition following a car accident that occurred off an I-95 overpass, as reported by 6abc Action News.

Authorities have confirmed that the individuals involved were four brothers from New Jersey.

The two passengers seated in the rear, aged 18 and 22, were thrown from the vehicle and succumbed to their injuries.

The driver and the front passenger, aged 18 and 23, were transported to local hospitals, where they are currently in critical condition.

"It appears that all individuals are adult males. One person was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second individual was declared deceased at a nearby hospital," stated Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace.

Witnesses reported to the police that a Mazda and a Dodge Challenger were racing at a high speed on I-95 northbound when the Mazda's driver lost control.

The exact reason for the loss of control remains unclear, but sources suggest that street racing may be a factor.The names of the victims have not yet been disclosed.

Additionally, Pennsylvania State Police reported that a puppy traveling in the vehicle was also ejected and found deceased. Anyone who witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact the Philadelphia police.
