NJ State Police Seeking Public's Assistance with Animal Cruelty Investigation

According to NJ State Police, they are seeking assistance from the public in an animal cruelty investigation that occurred on the Garden State Parkway South, near milepost 119.4 on the local roadway in Aberdeen Township, Monmouth County.

On February 27, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., troopers responded to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s Telegraph Hill Maintenance Yard for a report of animal cruelty.

NJTA maintenance workers had recovered four large “Retriever” brand dog food bags on the Garden State Parkway South, near milepost 119.4, containing the remains of four deceased brown canines.

Further investigation revealed that the four canines were Pitbull mixes and had injuries consistent with dog fighting.
