Frost Advisory for Ocean County
Forecasters predict that Tuesday morning will bring some frost to parts of the Garden State before a warming trend arrives later this week.
The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for 17 counties in New Jersey from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday morning due to overnight lows predicted to plunge into the 30s. However, the first taste of winter this season won't last very long, according to the forecasters.
Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, western Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, western Passaic, Salem, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren counties are under the
frost advisory. The National Weather Service predicts that temperatures will fall into the 30s by Tuesday morning (remaining in the mid-40s along the shore). Inland and adjacent counties may suffer areas of frost, and forecasters warned "the typical cold spots" may see temperatures close to freezing.
Before another dry and sunny day develops with highs in the mid- to upper 60s, with the exception of high elevations, Tuesday morning will start out cold, with temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s at daybreak.
The NWS predicted that Wednesday's highs would be in the upper 60s to low 70s and Thursday's highs would be in the mid-70s.
