Jerry Lynch fell from a tree stand on Dec 14th 2021 around 5:13pm. Ryder and I along with Jackson Twp PD were able to locate Jerry Lynch approximately 300 yards off of the road in a heavily wooded area, who had fallen an estimated 17 feet as he was lowering himself from a climbing tree stand when a cable broke, causing him to fall.
Jerry sustained serious injuries to both legs as far as we can tell at first. Jackson First Aid and Medics also responded and two tourniquets were applied to his legs and pain medication was administered on scene as he was treated and prepared to be moved. Firefighters from Station 57 responded and utilized their brush truck, which I had to get in to show the fire department where he was after Rider and I brought the police to where he was, Jerry was then Medevac and transported to Liberty High School where a landing zone had been prepared and he was then flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.
I've recently spoke to his wife, come to find out the damage was worse than we thought. Jerry had broke his tibia and fibula in both legs which are both compound fractures. He shattered his knee and broke his ribs. Jerry also has another surgery scheduled tomorrow, Dec 16th. Please help Jerry recover from these tremendous hospital bills and all the other bills that will come along with it. Ryder and I did not know each other before this incident. Nor did we know Jerry. It's amazing how two people that don't know each other can help someone we did not know! It's amazing how God works sometimes! We thank you in advance. Cory
