On January 5, 2026, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Officers from the South Toms River Police Department were dispatched to the area of Atlantic City Boulevard near Mathis Plaza in response to a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcyclist who was found unconscious on the shoulder of the roadway.
The motorcyclist was identified as Kenneth Gerisch, a 25-year-old male from Toms River.
A fundraiser has been established to assist his family with funeral expenses.
