GoFundMe Launched For Family Of Boy Killed In Lakewood Shooting

After Eduardo "Lalito" Miñon Inclán passed away tragically in Lakewood, his family started a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral and memorial costs.

Loved ones recalled Lalito as a happy child with a contagious laugh and a compassionate heart in a letter shared on the fundraising page. They claimed that everyone who knew him felt a profound emptiness following his unexpected death. In order to lessen the financial burden of end-of-life expenses and free up the family to concentrate on mourning and recovery, the campaign is looking for financial assistance. In order to increase community outreach, supporters who are unable to donate are urged to spread the word about the fundraiser.

The boy was shot and killed during a robbery on March 1, according to the authorities. At at 8:17 p.m., Lakewood Township police were summoned to Pearl Street due to shooting complaints, according to Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.When police arrived, they discovered a young person with a single gunshot wound to the back.

He was transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood where he succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, revealed that a juvenile was responsible for shooting and killing the victim. The juvenile is currently being detained in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center.
